M6 LIVE as all traffic stopped with long delays after car overturns

Long queues are building on the M6 this afternoon after a car overturned on the motorway.

Traffic has been held between the M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich/Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford) following the incident.

It is not yet clear whether anyone has been hurt. Two lanes were closed, before traffic officers held all vehicles at 12.50pm.

Travel service Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to overturned car on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."
