M6 crash LIVE updates as traffic STOPPED on motorway
Drivers heading towards Greater Manchester on the M6 have been stopped following a crash.
All traffic is at a standstill northbound between junctions 18 at Middlewich and 19 at Knutsford this afternoon (July 27).
It follows a crash in the area, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service.
An update from Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich / Holmes Chapel) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."

Traffic cameras show long queues building up approaching the scene.

All vehicles have been stopped on part of the M6 following a crash this afternoon.
Drivers are being held on the northbound carriageway between junctions 18 and 19, approaching the Manchester turn-off near Knutsford.
Queues are building up approaching the scene, with traffic cameras showing heavy traffic in the area.
Motorists are also facing delays on the M6 southbound approaching the crash scene, due to onlookers.
