LIVE updates as major junction shut after motorbike crash with air ambulance spotted near scene
A major junction in Tameside has been closed with emergency services at the scene after a reported crash involving a motorbike this afternoon (Monday, March 17).
The junction of Stockport Road and Hyde Road in Denton is currently shut off. Police, paramedics and the fire service are in attendance.
Several people at the scene said there had been a crash involving a motorbike. The air ambulance was seen landing in nearby Victoria Park.
The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed there had been a reported crash involving a motorcyclist and that a man had been taken to hospital with 'serious injuries.
Screens have been put on the corner of Stockport Road and Inman Street near between the Morrisons supermarket and Toll Point pub.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have been approached for comment.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said:
We were supporting the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to protect the scene following a crash involving a motorcyclist going into some railings.
We were in attendance for around 15 minutes.

At around 1.40pm today (17 March 2025), officers responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Stockport Road, Denton.
Emergency services are in attendance and road closures remain in place as further work is carried out.
