M4 closed 'for some time' after crash as drivers told to avoid section of motorway - live updates
Motorists have been warned that a road is expected to be closed for "some time" following a collision on the M4 in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Traffic Wales has confirmed that the M4 J34 Miskin westbound is currently closed between the slip roads due to a crash.
The traffic monitoring service has confirmed that traffic is being diverted off at J34 and then back onto the main carriageway. South Wales Police has also confirmed they are at the scene.
In a statement issued on their Facebook page, they said: "We're at the scene of a collision on the M4 Westbound at Junction 34. The road is currently closed westbound between the off-slip and on-slip meaning traffic will have to exit at Junction 34 and re-enter the M4 at Junction 34.
"It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience."
