Live updates as flooding affects Wales as country is battered by heavy rain
A number of flood warnings and alerts have been issued across Wales as the country continues to be battered by heavy rain and strong winds.
A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind is still in force across most parts of west Wales until 9pm on Wednesday. But Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has also now issued a number of warnings and alerts about flooding in different parts of the country.
As of 7.10pm, there are 10 flood warnings and 11 flood alerts in place - which include the Swansea Valley and Gower. Meanwhile, Pant Lasau Road in the Morriston area of Swansea is currently shut due to flooding, as is a section of the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road in Hirwaun.
