Live updates as 1,600 Wales fans take over entire Qatar hotel for huge World Cup party

The Red Wall has arrived at the World Cup and 1,600 Welsh fans are set to take over one of the city’s luxury hotels today.

An eight hour party is being held at the four and a half star InterContinental Doha - the City hotel, and we’ll be there the entire time as we bring you all the pre-match build up from Wales v Qatar from within the Welsh fanbase.

The biggest party in Welsh football history has been organised by Wales football supporters' charity Gol Cymru with help from Welsh TV broadcaster Rhodri Williams who lives and works in Qatar.

It will see Welsh fans take over six venues within the site.

On the first floor, events will be hosted at the hotel's Curry House, as well as the hotel's Aussie Hive and Steak House. Meanwhile, on the ground floor, fans can soak up the action at the hotel's Al Jasla Garden lounge and La Parisienne, or alternatively they can enjoy spectacular views at the Al Jasla Garden lounge. Fans will have access to several stylish hotel bars. It promises to be a party 64-years in the making and we will bring you live pictures throughout the day.
