LIVE: Snake Pass shut after serious crash with huge emergency service response

Snake Pass is closed amid a serious crash, with 'multiple' emergency services currently at the scene. There are queues in 'both ways', according to regional traffic sources, just outside of Glossop.

Traffic service Inrix reads: "A57 Sheffield Road in both directions blocked, heavy traffic due to accident, a car and a bike involved around Hurst Road (Royal Oak Inn)."

Sheffield Road is the road from the centre of Glossop leading to Snake Pass, which heads into the Peak District. The crash is understood to have happen just before 2pm today, April 16.
