Virgil van Dijk: Thierry Henry's response to Liverpool man calling him out after Villarreal win
Virgil van Dijk helped Liverpool to their third Champions League final in five years on Tuesday evening.
The Dutchman was in the starting lineup for Liverpool’s semi-final second leg clash against Villarreal.
Leading 2-0 from the first leg, the Reds struggled in the first-half as they their their advantage slip.
But Jurgen Klopp’s side came roaring back in the second half to win 3-2 on the evening and book their spot in Paris.
Van Dijk spoke to CBS Sports after the game and he felt the need to call Thierry Henry out.
Henry is a pundit for the American network and, after hearing that Henry was covering the game, Van Dijk called him out for not replying to his text.
He said: “I text him [Henry but he didn’t text me back! Titi: the legend” .
Henry heard Van Dijk’s complaints and he reacted in brilliant fashion.
