LIVE: Shooting on Manchester street with major police cordon in place - updates
A cordon is in place after a 22-year-old man was shot in the foot in east Manchester.
Officers were called out to Highgate Crescent, in Gorton, at around 12.15am this morning (September 20).
Greater Manchester Police says armed police attended and found a bullet in the victim's shoe.
Luckily, the man only suffered a graze, police say. The suspect currently remains at large.

A wooded area has been taped off close to Wayland Road, near Highgate Crescent, this morning.
Forensics investigators are gathering evidence from the scene and multiple police vehicles are in attendance.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers responded to reports of a firearms discharge on Highgate Crescent in Gorton at around 12:15am this morning (Saturday, September 20).

"A man was shot in the foot by an unknown man, who fled from the scene. Firearms officers attend and located a bullet in the victim’s shoe.
"Thankfully, the victim suffered only a graze and no serious injuries. We believe this incident is not linked to the firearms discharges in Newton Heath earlier this week.
"A scene remains in place, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing."

Officers have been looking underneath cars as the investigation takes shape.
Another police van has now arrived at the scene.
Forensic investigators are currently doing a fingertip search of the area.
