LIVE: Stretch of busy road fully closed with police cordon in place after crash - updates
A busy road is Stockport is closed off this morning after a crash involving a BMW.
Cheadle Road in Cheadle Hulme is currently shut after the incident on The Spinney in the early hours of this morning. A police cordon is in place on the scene.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said a BMW driver failed to stop for police just after 1.20am this morning. A man in his 50s was rushed to hospital from the scene of the crash with serious injuries.

Cheadle Road is closed off between Schools Hill and Farley Court as investigations are carried out this morning. A spokesperson for GMP said: "Officers are currently dealing with an incident on The Spinney in Cheadle.
"Shortly after 01:20 on Wednesday 8 October, a BMW was involved in a collision after failing to stop for police. A male in his 50s has been taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition.
"The A5149 Cheadle Road is currently closed from Schools Hill to Farley Court whilst officers investigate."

Police said the crash happened on The Spinney, off Cheadle Road, at around 1.20am this morning.
