LIVE: Major police scene on Salford street after shooting with bullet holes in window - updates

A police scene is in place on a street in Salford this morning after a shooting with bullet holes in the window of a property.

A stretch of Lissadel Street is currently cordoned off. Officers are stationed on the scene, with investigations underway and a row of homes taped off.

Bullet holes can be seen in the upstairs and downstairs windows of the house.

Crime scene investigators can be seen working on the street, with evidence markers are being placed on the ground outside the property. A bullet casing can also be seen outside the house.

No further details on the nature of the incident have been released at this stage.

Police say the shooting is believed to have taken place between 8.45pm and 9pm last night and is thought to have been a 'targeted attack'.

A spokesperson added:

At around 9.25am this morning (Tuesday 7 October 2025), we were called to reports of a suspected firearms discharge at an address on Lissadel Street in Salford.

It is believed that it is a targeted attacked and the discharge took place between 8.45pm and 9pm on Monday 6 October 2025.

No injuries have been reported to us with no arrests being made at this stage. A scene will remain in place as investigations by our Salford Challenger Team continue.

Extra patrol officers have been deployed around the local area, and will remain in place over the coming days.
