LIVE: Major road shut after serious incident with two rushed to hospital - updates
Traffic has been stopped on a major road near Manchester city centre following a crash.
Trinity Way is closed at the border of Manchester and Salford, near to the A56 Great Ducie Street, this morning (October 9).
It follows a collision involving a car and a bike, where the road crosses the River Irwell.
Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance with 'suspected serious injuries'.

The Manchester Evening News understands one line of enquiry is that the two people were travelling on the same bike.
Huge queues built up on the inner ring road, with delays between Cheetham Hill Road and Chapel Street.
Paramedics and police appear to be in attendance at the scene.
Long queues are also building up on surrounding roads following the collision.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 7am this morning (October 9), officers responded to reports of a collision on Trinity Way, Salford.
"Emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing."
