LIVE: Road closed as emergency services respond to crash - latest updates

A road in Trafford is closed this afternoon as emergency services respond to a crash.

Police officers, fire crews and paramedics are currently on the scene on Moorside Road in Urmston. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said no serious injuries have been reported at this stage.

It has not yet been confirmed how many vehicles are involved. The road is currently blocked in both directions.

The traffic service Inrix says there is 'heavy traffic' in the area as a result of the closure, which stretches from the junction with Trevor Road to Craig Avenue

According to traffic alert service Inrix, Moorside Road is currently shut from Trevor Road to Craig Avenue.

Stagecoach tweeted to say the bus service is still diverting away from Moorside Road.

The 256 service is being diverted away from Moorside Road.

A spokesperson for GMP confirmed officers have been called to a road traffic collision.

Police, fire crews and paramedics are on the scene.

No serious injuries have been reported, the spokesperson added.

A number of police, fire and ambulance vehicles are on Moorside Road.
