Live M4 updates as crash causes 30 minute queues and Prince of Wales Bridge also blocked

There are long queues on the M4 with several incidents causing congestion. One lane is closed on the westbound carriageway from junction 25 for the B4596 Caerleon Road and junction 25A at the A4042 due to a crash.

There is congestion to junction 23A for Magor services with traffic monitoring system Inrix warning drivers of queues of around 35 minutes.

Elsewhere the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge eastbound is partially blocked with slow traffic due to an obstruction on the road from junction 23 at the M48 to junction 22 for the M49. There are already roadworks in this area which is adding to the congestion.
