FA Cup first round draw LIVE updates as eight Manchester clubs and Wrexham find out opponents
Excitement is building among eight of Greater Manchester's clubs as the FA Cup first round draw is made this evening.
Taking place live from Bradford City's home of Valley Parade, the first round proper sees clubs from Leagues One and Two enter the competition for the first time this season. Bolton Wanderers, Salford City, Stockport County and Wigan Athletic have qualified for the draw automatically as EFL clubs.
Oldham Athletic and Rochdale sealed their spots in tonight's draw at the weekend as they beat FC Halifax Town and AFC Fylde respectively to advance. Altrincham are also in the hat but their spot in the first round is dependent on them beating Solihull Moors in a replay tomorrow night after they drew 1-1 at home on Saturday.
A special mention does go to Curzon Ashton though who are the lowest ranked Greater Manchester club still in the competition. They have made it to this stage having entered the competition at the second qualifying round.
Barnoldswick Town and Southport were both defeated prior to this weekend's victory over King's Lynn Town. A number of high profile teams will be joining our Greater Manchester clubs in the draw including Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney owned Wrexham and 2011 League Cup winners Birmingham City.
