University Hospital Llandough bus crash live updates as people urged to avoid area
A bus has crashed into a "number of stationary cars" at a Welsh hospital site. Emergency services were called to a crash at University Hospital Llandough on Thursday afternoon.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board confirmed the incident happened on the site of the Vale of Glamorgan hospital. A spokesperson said: "We can confirm there has been an accident at University Hospital Llandough involving a bus. South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service are on site and the situation is being assessed. Please avoid the area."
A spokesperson for South Wales Police confirmed that they were called at around 2.35pm today. There have been no reports of serious injuries, the police force confirmed.
In a statement, they said: "At 2.35pm today report was received of a collision between a bus and a number of stationary cars within the grounds of Llandough Hospital. There are no reports of serious injuries. The circumstances surrounding the collision are being looked into."
