LIVE: Huge SIX-MILE queues on M62 after crash - latest updates

There are huge six-mile queues on the M62 this morning after a crash.

One lane is currently closed off on the westbound carriageway between junction 21 for Milnrow and junction 20 for Rochdale. According to traffic alert service Inrix, congestion is currently back to junction 22 for Rishworth Moor.

Travel time through the area is around 40 minutes. Traffic cameras show long queues building up to the incident.

In a tweet, Highways England said: "The #M62 in #GreaterManchester has 1 lane closed westbound between J21 and J20 due to a collision.

"Recovery on scene and all lanes are expected to re-open shortly."
