LIVE: Forensic officers at scene of police incident in Altrincham - latest updates

A police cordon is in place on a road in Altrincham this morning (Saturday).

A stretch of Dunham Road is taped off, near the junction with Groby Road. Pictures show multiple police vehicles on the scene.

Forensic officers are also reportedly at the scene. The road is currently blocked both ways between Groby Road and St Margaret's Road.

According to traffic alert service Inrix, nearby Booth Road and Regent Road are also shut due to the incident.

The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for details.
