A cordon is in place at Salford Quays amid reports of a 'police incident'.
A large emergency service presence, including a police underwater search unit, has been spotted at the scene off The Quays this morning (Sunday).
Pictures show police cars and a fire engine at the scene The nature of the incident is not yet clear.

Metrolink services have been suspended between Pomona and Harbour City as a result of the incident.

The incident is now over and tram services are running as normal, the Bee Network has said.
The police incident has now ended and services can operate the full Eccles line.
Ticket acceptance is in place until 11:30am.

Firefighters also responded to the incident earlier this morning.
Two fire engines from Salford fire station, a water incident unit from Eccles, and a technical response unit from Ashton were sent to the scene at about 4.20am today, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said.
People living close to the scene in Salford Quays have reported hearing sirens and a helicopter flying overhead in the early hours of this morning.
Greater Manchester Police say were called to "concerns for a man in the water" at Salford Quays at about 4.15am today (Sunday).
A spokesperson for the force said:
At about 4.15am this morning (23 June 2024), officers were called over concerns for a man in the water at Salford Quays.
NWAS and GMFRS are also in attendance and the scene is ongoing.
