LIVE: Large police and forensics response with cordon in place on street - latest updates
Police are responding to an incident in south Manchester this afternoon.
A cordon is currently in place on Platt Lane in Fallowfield. Pictures show a stretch of the road taped off by officers.
A large number of officers are on the scene, as well as crime scene investigators. The road is reportedly closed off between Lloyd Street South and Princess Road.
