Leicester City transfer talks 'expected' as clubs circle around talented Championship ace

Leicester City are "expected" to hold talks with Nottingham Forest over forward Brennan Johnson.

The 20-year-old is expected to command a fee in the region of £20-£25million and would suit manager Brendan Rodgers' desire to recruit a right-sided forward player in the summer transfer window.

Johnson has been on fine form in the Championship this season, with the Reds currently sitting in the play-off places under head coach Steve Cooper. He has also become a regular for the Wales national team.

He attracted serious transfer interest from City's Premier League rivals Brentford in the January transfer window and, according to The Independent, they have already offered Johnson personal terms.

There are a number of other teams still in the mix, though, with Leicester, Newcastle United, Everton and Villarreal all named in the report.

Johnson's father David, who is an important influence on his son's career, previously worked for City as Head of U17-U23 Recruitment between December 2015 and November 2016.
