Huddersfield Town made their first signing of the summer yesterday as they sealed a deal for Will Boyle.

As confirmed by the club’s website, the defender has signed a two-year contract at the John Smith’s Stadium and will officially become a Terriers player when his current deal at Cheltenham Town reaches a crescendo later this month.

Huddersfield could potentially be about to back up this signing by swooping for another player who featured in a lower division last season.

According to Football Insider, the Terriers are closing in on sealing a move for Solihull Moors striker Kyle Hudlin.

As per Football Insider, Huddersfield are currently in advanced talks to sign Hudlin.

The forward was watched by the likes of Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City last season whilst Sheffield Wednesday have recently been touted as a potential suitor.

It is understood that Huddersfield are confident that they can get a deal over the line for Hudlin and are close to making a breakthrough in terms of negotiations.

Hudlin’s current deal with the Moors is set to expire at the end of June and he has yet to agree fresh terms with the National League outfit.

When you consider that Solihull missed out on promotion to League Two last weekend, Hudlin is unlikely to stay at the club given that he is attracting interest from Football League sides.
