Kevin Muscat sees Rangers myth debunked as Celtic punter storms the Hotline telling rivals to get real

Rangers are edging closer to naming their new manager but Old Firm fans have their minds made up regardless of who lands in the hotseat.

The Ibrox faithful reckon a new broom will sweep up in Scotland while Celtic punters believe they’ll continue to brush aside their big rivals. Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh, said: “Well said Neil Murray, in that whoever gets the Rangers gig, will be given four years and the full and loyal support of Rangers fans. It will take time but I'm convinced this new Rangers set-up will sweep all before it.”

Tam Williamson, Lanarkshire, said: “Why would Derek McInnes or Kevin Muscat leave their present clubs to take the skint Ibrox hot seat knowing they would be sacked at the end of the season when Celtic once again win the Premiership? They sold Colak for £2m, Sakala £4m, Kamara £6m, that’s £12m. Out went top earners McGregor, Arfield, Helander, Morelos and Kent and they loaned out Hagi and Lowry.

“We are not a cash rich club, basically swap deals with extremely poor recruitment. My question to the board is how much did we really spend in the summer, about £3-4m? Where’s the rest? This could've been a lot worse.”
