The hidden Rangers next manager warning from Graeme Souness decoded as Clement or Muscat MUST hold key factor

Graeme Souness has played his advisory role at Rangers with the board expected to name their next boss in the next 48 hours.

But either Yokohama F Marinos boss Kevin Muscat or former Club Brugge and Monaco boss Philippe Clement will need one key factor to be successful. Chairman John Bennett and chief executive James Bisgrove have been leading the hunt for a new boss with Ibrox icon Souness citing as an advisor to the board as they look to get the big call right before the end of the international break.

The Light Blues will be back in Scottish Premiership action against Hibs on October 21 with fans keen to see the new boss in the dugout before the clash against the side from Easter Road - and a boss expected to be unveiled by the club within the next 48 hours. And Souness has offered some free managerial advice to the next candidate in his Daily Mail column.

Promotion to the Premier League is not out of the question for Birmingham this season but there is so much luck involved in management. Right time, right place. I wish him well."
