Kevin De Bruyne replacement considered as Man City 'receive transfer contact'

Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

Kevin De Bruyne continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia this summer and City are thought to be weighing up their options. Al Ittihad are willing to offer a lucrative contract to the 33-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.

Last week, reports stated the Belgian had agreed personal terms with Al Ittihad, but those claims were later rubbished by Fabrizio Romano. Nonetheless, City are aware that the situation may change and are lining up potential replacements.

Eze enjoyed a successful season for Palace last term and has attracted the interest of Tottenham. If City follow up their interest, Spurs would likely be powerless to prevent the player over a move to the Etihad Stadium.

The Mirror reports Palace would not let him leave for less than his £60million release clause plus add-ons especially after losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. It is said City are impressed by his low maintenance temperament and versatility of being able to play in a number of positions.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund are claimed to have made contact with City for Yan Couto. The Brazilian right-back could net City a serious profit this summer despite not playing a senior game for Pep Guardiola.

He signed for City in 2020 and spent the last three seasons out on loan at Girona and Portuguese outfit SC Braga. The reigning champions now have the opportunity to cash in on the defender, with Dortmund making 'contact' to discuss Couto's deal conditions.
