Kasper Schmeichel will be Celtic's new No1 after sealing a reunion with Brendan Rodgers.

The Hoops have been on the hunt for Joe Hart's successor for some time but have now got their man. The Denmark international makes the move to Glasgow on a free transfer and comes with a wealth of experience in his locker. That will prove crucial for the Scottish champions in the development of new recruit Viljami Sinisalo from Aston Villa after his arrival on a long-term deal.

The 37-year-old is no stranger to Rodgers having worked under him during his spell in charge at Leicester City. It is a move that brings the duo back together with the veteran goalkeeper penning a one-year deal, with the option for a further season.
