Joe Hart issued loaded Rangers warning by Alan Brazil as Celtic diehard derails retirement chat to sound title alarm

Concerned Alan Brazil has warned Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart that he won't want to hang up his gloves by losing out on the title to Rangers.

The Hoops No1 has announced he will be retiring at the end of the campaign, bowing out of the game with Brendan Rodgers' side. The 36-year-old has been the undisputed first choice since Ange Postecoglou brought him to the club and has lifted five trophies – including two Scottish Premiership titles – since his move north of the border from Tottenham.

But Celtic fan Brazil is concerned that the former England international will be unable to add to his silverware haul before he steps away from the game as he issued a warning to the veteran shot-stopper – derailing a chat over his standing as a great for the Three Lions on the talkSPORT Breakfast Show. Discussing Hart's decision to retire, Brazil asked fellow host Ray Parlour: "Is Joe Hart up there with England's greats? Shilts (Peter Shilton), Ray Clemence, people like that?"

Parlour responded: "David Seaman as well. England had that spell of good goalkeeper didn't they? When you go back. Some fantastic goalkeepers. Would you put him up there? I would probably say no. But what a career he has had."

Brazil responded: "Sorry Joe. And he won't want to retire finishing second – will you Joe?" Parlour went on: "With Celtic? Oh it's close up there."
