Alexandro Bernabei seals Celtic loan exit as Brendan Rodgers offloads full back to Brazil

Out of favour full-back Alexandro Bernabei left Celtic, joining Brazilian top-flight SC Internacional on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Argentine U23 international was brought to Parkhead by Ange Postecoglou in the summer of 2022 for £3.75million from Lanus, but made just 19 appearances in all competitions in his debut campaign. The 23-year-old has found game-time even harder to come by under Brendan Rodgers, appearing just nine times in all competitions after failing to dislodge first choice left back Greg Taylor in the Irishman's starting line-up.

And with the transfer window in Brazil still open until Thursday night, Bernabei has now completed a late switch to Internacional, who include former West Ham star Enner Valencia and Rafael Santos Borre among their ranks.
