Celtic suffer national radio ridicule but Alan Brazil has Hoops’ backs as pundit serves up Rangers and Hearts howitser

Alan Brazil aimed a jibe at Hearts by branding them 'Rangers reserves' as he tipped Celtic to lift the Scottish Cup once again.

The talkSPORT host was joined on air by Ally McCoist as the topic of discussion turned to Monday night's semi-final draw with colleague Adrian Durham on the phone. He took the chance to wind-up Brazil by 'congratulating' Aberdeen for reaching the Final after they were paired with Brendan Rodgers men but he was having none of it, having a bite back at his fellow pundit and branding the managerless Dons in 'disarray'.

McCoist then tipped a similar final to the League Cup that Rangers lifted earlier this campaign by defeating Aberdeen at Hampden to put the first trophy of the season in the Ibrox cabinet – and that prompted Brazil to aim a cheeky pop at Steven Naismith's Hearts as he told the Ibrox hero his side would book a return ticket to the national stadium due to playing their 'reserves'.

Durham: "The draw for the semis last night. It's Rangers or Hearts to play Aberdeen in that final. So congratulations to the Dons."

Brazil: "Oh you mean that team that has no manager now that Neil [Warnock] has left and in total disarray? Don't you worry about it. Green and white ribbons on the Cup again."

McCoist: "I think you are right Aid. I think you are looking at a similar cup final to the League Cup Final.."

Brazil: "Well Rangers are going to get there. You've got Rangers reserves haven't you? So you are going to get there that is for sure."

McCoist: "Oh dear me, he is worried Aid.."

Brazil: "Get the plane ready. Get the plane ready."
