'It was tough mentally' - Marcus Rashford names lowest moment in his Manchester United career

Marcus Rashford has admitted the lowest point of his Manchester United career was recovering from his shoulder injury.

Rashford had surgery to address a long-term shoulder problem in August 2021 and he returned to action in October that year, just a few weeks before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked following a string of dreadful results.

"But it did take like six or seven months to feel like myself again and when I look back, that time was wasted and I wish I'd spoken to someone before the operation. I just had to get on with it because I didn't want to miss much of the season.

"I actually recovered quite quickly, but when I was playing it just didn't feel right."

Rashford has since turned a corner and he enjoyed the best season of his career last
