Marcus Rashford was right in his prediction for revived Manchester United teammate

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has gone full circle since Erik ten Hag was appointed as Manchester United manager.

Signed for £50million by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in 2019, it looked for all the world as though United would cash-in on their former Crystal Palace defender in an attempt to recoup at least some of that outlay. Yet should the right-back continue as he has started this season he might eventually repay that seven-figure sum.

Following another impressive summer when it came to the transfer market, Ten Hag arguably had only one tough call to make with his starting XI against Wolves at Old Trafford on Monday night. It was between Diogo Dalot and Wan-Bissaka at right-back and the eventual decision made by the manager was promptly justified.

United were lifeless going forward in their curtain raiser. However, after weathering a storm and what was a plucky showing from their opponents, one moment of quality settled the outcome.

Wan-Bissaka - so often chastised for his attacking output - provided it with a wonderfully delicate chip which Raphael Varane rose highest to nod home. That was Wan-Bissaka's first assist in the Premier League since the year before last and completed a stunning turnaround under Ten Hag.
