Marcus Rashford has perfect opportunity to get his Manchester United season going vs Tottenham
Manchester United kicked off the season with three points on Monday but no one was walking out of Old Trafford bursting with excitement.
Erik ten Hag's side were far from vintage, allowing themselves to be cut open in midfield and lacking any bite going forward. Such was the struggle of their attack that it was left to Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Raphael Varane to combine for the decisive goal.
United's attacking woes could be partly put down to injury issues. New signing Rasmus Hojlund will miss the next few weeks after a back problem was picked up during his medical, while Anthony Martial was fit enough only for the bench.

Marcus Rashford led the line, a role he'd rather not perform but one he can do well in the right circumstances. A deep and compact Wolves side did not provide that.
Rashford is at his deadly best against a high line, tearing into the space behind full-backs. So many of his 30 goals last season came after getting on the end of balls in behind from Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen et. al.
United enjoyed one of their most electric halves of football at home to Aston Villa in November last year, with Rashford scoring one of the four goals that led to a comfortable Carabao Cup win.
"They held a really high line," Rashford said of Villa after that win. "No defender likes to run backwards and we like to run forward so it's pretty simple for us, we want to get in behind them.
"Balls diagonally from the full-back or from the middle to wide positions were always on. They were catching us offside a lot
