Isthmian League round-up: Ramsgate continue revival under caretaker boss Lee Martin while Margate score seven on the road

Ramsgate continued their revival under caretaker manager Lee Martin with a big away victory.

Rams won 4-1 at Hashtag United to make it seven points from three Isthmian Premier games under ex-Welling boss Martin.

Back at the scene of their 5-0 defeat by Aveley a fortnight ago - a result which led to manager Ben Smith’s departure - Joe Taylor scored twice and captain TJ Jadama made it three.

Joshua Rusoke pulled one back but Ryan Kingsford added an injury-time fourth as Ramsgate moved up to 12th place - nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Dartford bounced back from successive defeats with a 2-0 home win over Chichester at Princes Park.

Dan Smith scored in either half to keep Ady Pennock’s side in the final play-off spot.

Welling, who are closing in on naming their new manager, remain six points from safety after losing 2-0 at home to Cray Wanderers.

The Wings, who’ve had Rod Stringer in caretaker charge since sacking Lee Martin at the start of October, trailed to a Harry Waldock goal after only four minutes.

Alex Hernandez scored the second before half-time as Cray put Tuesday night’s 8-1 thrashing at Folkestone behind them to move up to sixth place.

Ibrahim Olutade scored a hat-trick as in-form Margate won 7-3 at Erith Town in Isthmian South East.

Dexter Peter’s early red card left the Dockers with 10 men and sixth-placed Margate took full advantage.

Olutade’s opener was cancelled out by an own goal but Kane Haysman scored twice as the visitors led 3-1 at half-time.

A second for Olutade made it four and while Destiny Oladipo replied, Margate pulled clear with Olutade’s hat-trick goal and strikes from TT Walters and player-boss Ben Greenhalgh.

Albie O’Mara-Knapp scored a late penalty for Erith.
