"I think he will" - Journalist tips Spurs to reach internal agreement with £200k p/w superstar

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is likely to extend his contract with the club, according to The Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

The England captain has previously been linked with a move away from Spurs, but Taylor thinks he is now ready to commit his long-term future to Tottenham.

The 28-year-old pushed for a move to Manchester City last summer, but he ended up staying at his boyhood club.

After starting the season slowly under Nuno Espirito Santo, Kane finished the campaign strongly with Antonio Conte in the dugout.

He ended up registering 17 goals and nine assists to steer Tottenham back into the Champions League for the first time since the 2019/20 season.

The Evening Standard has recently reportedly that Kane is very happy at his current employers, and would be willing to enter talks over a new contract.

Taylor believes Kane has his sights set on remaining in the Premier League for the rest of his career, and he feels due to the feel-good atmosphere at Spurs right now, the 69-cap international will sign on the dotted line.

When asked about whether Kane will sign a new contract or not, Taylor told GIVEMESPORT: “I think he will. Although he angled for a move last summer, I think he’s a family man, he’s looking at the Premier League (goalscoring) record. I don’t really see him as a player that wants to play abroad. I think he wants to stay in the Premier League his whole career.

“All the while there’s a buzz at the moment at Tottenham, because there is, we can see it from outside. There’s a good environment there at the moment, with the injection of cash, it feels like Tottenham are only going to get stronger.”
