Hull FC squad news as Scott Taylor prepares to make return to action

Scott Taylor will be hoping to make his first appearance of the year after being named in Brett Hodgson’s 21-man squad to face Catalans Dragons on Sunday evening. The prop forward hasn’t been seen on the field this season after picking up a couple of stress fractures in his foot during pre-season training.

The injuries were linked to the Lisfranc injury he suffered last season, but he’s considered to be fully fit now and he’ll be keen to make an impact against the French side as FC go in search of their fourth straight win at the MKM Stadium. Adam Swift has dropped out of the fold due to the foot injury he picked up against Hull KR last week, while Luke Gale misses out through suspension after being charged with tripping last time out against Warrington Wolves.

Connor Wynne failed a head test on Monday and as a result he won’t be involved this week, either. Also included in the squad are Jacob Hookem, fresh from an appearance for Whitehaven, and winger Harvey Barron.

Cam Scott isn’t thought to be far off a return from injury for FC, but the Black and Whites are still without Josh Griffin (ankle), Andre Savelio (knee), Joe Cator (Achilles), Ben McNamara (back).
