Hull FC hand debut to teenage talent in Toulouse Olympique clash

Hull FC will hand a debut to Denive Balmforth in the clash with Toulouse Olympique. The 18-year-old, who was signed for an undisclosed fee from Warrington Wolves last month, will start on the bench in the clash at the MKM Stadium.

Balmforth has made a big impression in reserve grade since his arrival and has been rewarded with a play in Brett Hodgson's 17-man squad. It comes after Jordan Johnstone's move to halfback, taking the place of the suspended Josh Reynolds. With Joe Lovodua, it means the Black and Whites have two specialist hookers in the halves, with Luke Gale also suspended and Ben McNamara injured.

Balmforth is likely to spell for Danny Houghton, who remains in his favoured number nine role. There's only two changes, with the other seeing Connor Wynne move into the centre role for Mitieli Vulikijapani, who is on duty representing the British Army at Twickenham.

Meanwhile, Toulouse feature two former Hull FC players in Matty Russell and James Cunningham.
