Hull City ace relishing return of Keane Lewis-Potter amid transfer speculation

Keane Lewis-Potter will return from his summer break on Monday morning where he'll be welcomed back into familiar territory by some familiar faces eager to be reunited with the hometown hero. Pre-season training is well under way at Hull City and the 21-year-old, along with Allahyar Sayyadmanesh will be back at Cottingham to prepare for the new Championship campaign which kicks off in less than five weeks.

Lewis-Potter has been given an extended break by City head coach Shota Arveladze after an extended season that saw him make his full debut for the England Under-21s and capping it with a goal in the opening minutes of the thumping 5-0 win Kosovo.

Brandon Fleming, Lewis-Potter's boyhood pal, and enthusiastic teammate is relishing the return of the youngster who played every single minute of City's 46 league games last season, totalling more than 4,000 minutes in a season where he scored 13 times in English football's second tier.

"I've missed him this week. I speak to him on texts and stuff, but I can't wait for him to be back on Monday and have some banter with him," Fleming told Hull Live.

Like many other supporters, Fleming was frustrated at the technical difficulties which blighted coverage of the game in Pristina with the City ace's opening goal missed, but it was not a shock for him to hear the name of the opening goalscorer when it came through.
