Pictures showed the car had come to rest on its roof. One person, said by the witness to be a man, had already scrambled out of the vehicle before emergency crews arrived. They were taken to hospital by ambulance. However their injuries are not said to be serious.

The road has been closed whilst emergency services deal with the incident. The car is currently said to be in the process of being recovered.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 8.20pm this evening (Saturday 30 November), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Sugar Lane in Oldham

“One fire engine from Mossley Community Fire Station quickly attended the incident which involved two vehicles. One casualty had self-extricated prior to arrival and was conveyed to hospital by colleagues from North West Ambulance Service.

“Crews worked with Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately 70 minutes at the scene.”

Greater Manchester Police confirmed no one had been seriously injured and said the vehicle was being recovered.
