How would you rate Rangers recruitment and can Celtic afford to let any other stars go after Jota? Monday Jury

KEITH JACKSON: They can afford just about anything now that the oil money is piling into the account. But it’s a question of how Brendan Rodgers spends it. Replacing Jota will not be easy. Finding the next Kyogo Furuhashi or Reo Hatate could prove every bit as difficult. But Rodgers has both the funds and the contacts book required so there’s no need to press the panic button just yet.

CRAIG SWAN: If the money is right and the replacements are sourced and available, then yes. Celtic turned over almost an entire team two years ago and won the title.

MICHAEL GANNON: Celtic can afford to do what they like but this is the model. They buy talent, win trophies and then sell them when big bids come in. If the likes of Kyogo and Hatate can also attract £20m plus fees then it’s evidence of the system working a treat. The challenge is always to maintain it.

SCOTT BURNS: Brendan Rodgers might not want to lose anymore but if he does then it will be for big, big money and will allow him to make his own signings and stamp his own authority on the team. I think most Celtic players are replaceable with the exception of Callum McGregor.

KEITH: It’s been very bold. Beale appears to be shopping in a niche market for players who once had the world at their feet but who have subsequently hit a roadblock in their career paths. As Todd Cantwell has proved, it can be a smart strategy. It will be fascinating to see how he goes about getting the best out of them next season.

CRAIG: Rangers needed to freshen the menu because they had become stale before the arrival of Beale. The likes of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin brought that and more changes can be positive. But the heat is on.

MICHAEL: The proof will be on the pitch but on paper
