How Manchester United should line up vs Everton in Premier League fixture

Manchester United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in the Premier League today.

United were defeated 3-1 in the Manchester derby last weekend and they have the challenge of bouncing back against an Everton side who are desperate for points to survive relegation.

The Reds are 11 points behind Aston Villa in fourth position and a win is required to ensure their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League don't receive another blow.

Thankfully, United have won 40 games against Everton in the Premier League, which is the joint-most one side has against another in the competition's history.

Regarding the team news, Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans are available after playing through knocks against Manchester City, but Omari Forson has been ruled out of the clash.

There is every chance Ten Hag will go with the same side with Evans and Rashford fit. United hit the skids at City when Evans went off and they were impressively compact without the ball so the same back four is logical.

The rest of the team largely picks itself and the concept of a false nine worked for a half last week. United should go with the same tactic again but a change in personnel. If Forson can get a start at Old Trafford in a meaningful Premier League game then so can Amad.
