I simulated Manchester United and Man City Premier League run-in to predict where they would finish

10 games remain in the 2023/24 Premier League season, with lots on the line for Manchester City and Manchester United.

City headed into the international break third in the Premier League table, but Pep Guardiola's side are just one point off top spot in a nail-biting title race. Further down the table, United currently sit in sixth place, with Erik ten Hag's side nine points adrift of the top four.

From now until the end of the campaign, City and United face some tough fixtures, while both will be relying on other teams to drop points to try and reach their targets. So, how could City and United perform in the final 10 games of the league season? We simulated the run-in to find out...

To set up this simulation, we used the Football Manager 2024 editor to update the game with the latest results, fixtures and standings. We then simulated until the end of the season to see how FM24 judges City's title hopes

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland secured a 2-0 win for City over Arsenal, which saw Guardiola's side overtake the Gunners in the Premier League title race. United also won 2-0, with Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay getting on the scoresheet at Brentford.

A thriller unfolded at Stamford Bridge, with Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho scoring as United came from two goals behind to beat Chelsea 3-2. City also scored three, with Phil Foden, Haaland and Bernardo Silva scoring in a 3-1 win at home to Aston Villa.
