How Man City should line up against Aston Villa in Premier League fixture
Manchester City return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening as they travel to high-flying Aston Villa.
The Blues are without a win in their last three league matches, and as a result they've dropped to third place in the table behind Arsenal and Liverpool. Villa sit just behind City in the standings after an excellent start to the season under manager Unai Emery.
In terms of team news, Pep Guardiola will have to do without the services of Rodri and Jack Grealish. Both players picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season in the 3-3 draw against Tottenham on Sunday, resulting in one-match bans which they'll serve tonight.
The loss of Rodri in particular could be keenly felt - City lost all three domestic matches that the Spaniard was banned for earlier this season following his straight red card against Nottingham Forest, so Guardiola will hope his side will react better to the absence tonight.

As well as Rodri and Grealish's absences, City are also waiting to see if Jeremy Doku recovers from a knock sustained in the Spurs game, while Guardiola confirmed that John Stones is fit ready to feature following his injury lay-off.

Guardiola says John Stones is ready and he feels like the most obvious solution to not having Rodri. Having moved alongside him and played in that position when Rodri was rested against Young Boys last month (only to then get injured), having Stones back will alleviate the issue of not having Jack Grealish.
