How Man City should line up vs Fluminense in Club World Cup final

Manchester City are 90 minutes away from completing the circle and becoming champions of the world - but must face a tricky Fluminense side in Jeddah to be crowned Club World Cup winners.

City eased past Urawa Red Diamonds on Tuesday to set up a first-ever Club World Cup final, where they take on Copa Libertadores champions Fluminense. The Blues will have to win the competition without their two star players, with Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne ruled out of the tournament as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.

Both De Bruyne trained on Wednesday, but Jeremy Doku (who also can't feature in the final) and Haaland trained separately, raising hopes of a return when City are back in England for the Premier League clash with Everton.

Guardiola must decide whether to recall players like Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Kyle Walker and Julian Alvarez for the final, after he made changes to his side against Urawa.

There's a temptation to stick with the system that got City to the final - without a striker and with Bernardo Silva as a false nine. But Alvarez is a World Champion in his own right and will benefit from his rest on Tuesday. Bernardo can move back into midfield, with four-time Club World Cup winner Mateo Kovacic in midfield to keep things solid against a side who describe themselves as 'anti-Guardiola.'
