Hearts take Rangers pot shot in veiled badge-gate nod as semi final heat cranks up
Hearts have continued the row over the Rangers badge being placed over the club crest - with a subtle swipe on social media before the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The row has erupted from inside Tynecastle following the Sky Sports Cup final showdown between Rangers Women and Partick Thistle as Jo Potter's side claimed the silverware with a 4-1 win in the capital. Following the game, images emerged from inside the Hearts' home changing room with a section of the Gorgie support left furious that the Ibrox badge was placed over the Jambos badge.
Hearts have demanded an explanation from the SWPL over the dressing room makeover - and the club appear unwilling to let the issue lie as they prepare to face Philippe Clement's at Hampden next month. Tickets for the blockbuster showdown go on sale on Wednesday - and badge-gate is at the centre of the discussion going into the showdown.
An image to promote the showdown states: "Do it for the badge." It will only be know at full-time at the national stadium on April 21 if the row and the message has helped to motivate Steven Naismith's men.
