Greater Manchester weather forecast in full as amber rain warning in place
Greater Manchester is set to see a very wet start to 2025 tonight amid torrential downpours across the region.
Thousands have braved the weather to flock to St Peter's Square for the city's fireworks display this evening. While the rain has seen events across the country cancelled, Manchester's will go ahead, council bosses have said.
An amber weather warning is in place across parts of Bolton, Bury, and Wigan this evening, with six separate flood warnings also issued.
