All lanes reopen after crash on M60 in Greater Manchester

Two lanes were closed on the M60 following a crash tonight (Friday, January 17). The lanes were shut to traffic on the anticlockwise carriageway between J19 A576 Middleton Road (Heaton Park Three Arrows Roundabout) and J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island).

The lane closures were first reported at around 8pm and the road had cleared before 9pm. Traffic cameras showed motorists queueing in the area as a result of the incident - with one vehicle seemingly sideways across one of the carriageway's outer lanes.

All lanes open, accident cleared on M60 anticlockwise from J19 A576 Middleton Road (Heaton Park Three Arrows Roundabout) to J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island)."

The lanes are shut between J19 A576 Middleton Road (Heaton Park Three Arrows Roundabout) and J18 M66 J4 (Simister Island).

Two lanes remain closed as a result of the crash tonight. Drivers are able to pass in the remaining two lanes - with traffic moving slowly in the area as a result.

The lane closures were first reported shortly before 8pm. National Highways traffic cameras show motorists queueing as a result of the incident - with traffic able to pass in two lanes.
