Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher disagree on Erik ten Hag after Man United sack U-turn

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher came down on different sides of the fence after Manchester United's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. Unsurprisingly, their views on the running of Neville's former side, were juxtaposed.

Especially when it came to Erik ten Hag's position as manager, the job he has done, and how things might move forward, the pair only had contrasting thoughts. After goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah ensured it was two defeats from three for Ten Hag at the start of his third season in charge, the head coach's role under a new ownership group came under fire.

Neville, who had already voiced his frustrations with the way the club has been run in the buildup to getting to this point, was keen to address any suggestion that Ten Hag will be sacked just yet. The ex-United right-back stated that it should not be before Christmas before a full analysis is made.

Carragher, though, can't see things getting better quickly enough. Speaking after the game on Sky Sports the punditry and co-commentary duo disagreed on how to move forward at Old Trafford.
