Man United must ignore Cristiano Ronaldo advice as Erik ten Hag told what he's missing

Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Manchester United should listen to club legends in a bid to restore the Reds to former glory.

Ronaldo's words on United will always hold huge weight. Despite a disappointing end to his second spell at Old Trafford, the Portuguese remains one of United's greatest-ever players and a figure of huge significance in the footballing world.

The 39-year-old has previously been critical of Erik ten Hag and United in a controversial interview with Piers Morgan in November 2022. Ronaldo was left dismayed at United's standards and has now opened up further on the issue in a recent interview.

“If Ten Hag listens to Ruud van Nistelrooy… maybe he can help," he told Rio Ferdinand's podcast. "He knows the club and the club should listen to the guys who were there. Rio, Roy Keane, Scholes, Gary Neville, Sir Alex Ferguson. You cannot rebuild a club without knowledge."

Many will agree with Ronaldo's words that the only way to get United back to challenging for the Premier League title is if they turn to legendary figures of the club's past. It's worked for Bayern Munich with former players Karl Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeness helping them dominate the Bundesliga for over a decade.
