Gary Lineker sends Leeds United message as Leicester City injury boost revealed

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that both James Maddison and Ricardo Pereira should make a return from injury for the Europa Conference League clash against Rennes on Thursday.

Both players were left out of the squad for Saturday’s 1-0 win over Leeds United, with Rodgers revealing that there was a major doubt over the two ahead of the game.

Maddison underwent a late assessment on a back problem before the clash against Leeds but featuring in the weekend’s game was deemed too much of a risk, while Ricardo was taken off at half-time of the win over Burnley due to tightness in his hamstring

“Hopefully he’ll be ok for Thursday,” Rodgers said about Maddison in his post-match press conference.
