Leicester City revisit last summer's hunting ground with Wesley Fofana ready for Man United

Leicester City have reportedly joined the race for highly-rated Red Bull Salzburg forward Chukwubuike Adamu ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye in his breakthrough season with the Austrian side this campaign, establishing himself as a regular starter in both the Austrian Bundesliga and the Champions League. The forward has scored seven goals in his 35 appearances this season with three coming in his last seven appearances in both the league and Champions League.

According to the Daily Mail , City are the latest side to ‘join the list of clubs’ who are ‘keeping tabs’ on the youngster ahead of the summer window opening. Southampton, Marseille, Monaco and a ‘number of Bundesliga sides’ are also said to be showing an interest in a player who has helped Salzburg fill the gap left by Patson Daka moving to the King Power Stadium. Wesley Fofana will be able to make his Premier League comeback against Manchester United when Leicester City resume their fixtures after the international break.

Fofana was absent from the 2-1 victory over Brentford at the weekend, the Frenchman not even included on the bench after making a dream return to action in Rennes, where he scored his first goal for City to help them reach the last eight of the Europa Conference League.

After playing more than 75 minutes in his first game in seven months, Fofana was feeling sore, and so was given the day off against the Bees, with Caglar Soyuncu recovering from illness to play, and with Jonny Evans playing his first match since December off the bench.
